Environment

We believe that the well-being of a community is grounded in caring for the environment.

We are interested in promoting environmental awareness through public information and campaigns, creating opportunities to volunteer in environmental clean-ups, removing graffiti and setting up local recycling programs for a sustainable living community.

About us

iVosta: Integrated Volunteering Skills &Training Agency

iVosta - Friends for Ireland Working towards sustainability and community building.

iVosta is a grassroots project that has gained a decade of experience in sustainable communities development.

It has developed a proven model of integration by providing new entrants to the Irish communities with an introduction to its culture, paving the way to enriching participation for all concerned.

We are a colourful group of individuals, united by our enthusiasm to work to maintain our home country, Ireland, as the friendly and safe place we know it to be.
iVosta – friends for Ireland was established at Easter 2009 in Mosney Accommodation Centre by Alpha Gassama (originally from Guinea) as a non-profit organisation.
iVosta is an innovative organisation that believes in volunteering as a powerful & effective means of integrating migrants into Irish society.

We believe integration is not unilateral, it's a complex issue and a two-way process where the different cultures interact with each other, it's why iVosta support social integration and progressive community development.

Alpha embraced life as a community volunteer and his concern for the environment led iVosta to volunterer as as a founding member of Clondalkin Tidy towns and Phibsboro Tidy towns and to play a role in the highly successful and ongoing National Tidy Towns projects.
